Trim24Seven is a diet patch which makes some extensive claims, with little evidence to back them up. These diet patches have herbal ingredients, and their transdermal delivery is meant to give you a low dose 24 hours a day.
The manufacturers claim Trim24Seven eliminates hunger while burning fat, causing miraculous weight loss and toning the body as well. They further claim that 70% of those who use Trim24Seven lose 4 pounds in the first week. Again, there are no clinical trials here, so we cannot judge the statement, but we're skeptical.
There are valid uses for transdermal delivery systems--in smoking cessation programs for instance--but they are generally not as effective as capsules which deliver a standardised dose of active ingrediants every time. Any number of factors could prevent an optimum and consistent level of the product from being absorbed into the system. The patches themselves are waterproof, so you can where them while swimming or bathing, and you simply replace them every 24 hours.
They contain Fucus Vesiculosus Extract, 5-HTP, Guarana, Zinc Pyruvate, Yerba Mate, Flaxseed Oil, Lecithin, L-Carnitine, Zinc Citrate, and sweet vanilla. Interestingly, these are the same ingredients as the much-hyped Pink Patch, which is sold for much more. You attach the patch to a clean, hairless part of the body, allowing the ingredients to bypass the acids and enzymes of the digestive system. Some of these ingredients can help with weight loss--Guarana is chemically the same as caffeine, Yerba Mate can help reduce hunger, Fucus seaweed can help digestion, and Zinc Pyruvate can boost endurance, among other things.
The makers claim their "matrix technology" allows Trim24Seven to hold four times more active ingredients than other weight loss patches on the market. We can't evaluate these claims, but the price is certainly cheap, suggesting to us that there isn't all that much in the product.
You are supposed to drink 6-8 glasses of water per day while using Trim24Seven, to help eliminate toxins and reduce fluid retention. Users are also advised to avoid caffeinated and fizzy drinks. Likewise, users should eat a healthy diet and do light exercise--even a short walk--on the program, things which should promote weight loss patch or not.
Ill EFfects : We've heard reports of jitteriness, restlessness, and headaches taking Trim24Seven, unsurprising given the continuous dosage of guarana/caffeine in the patch. You may experience a mild skin rash if you are sensitive to the patch's adhesive. The product is not designed for use by those under 18 or women who are pregnant or nursing.
Prices: You can buy these patches on Amazon for around only $15 for a month's supply. Again, we're skeptical of this product and would chose something with a proven track record, but at least they're very cheap and discrete if you feel the need to give them a whirl...
