Denise Austin 3-Week Boot Camp Review

Visit Denise Austin 3-Week Boot Camp SiteDenise Austin 3-Week Boot Camp is an intermediate level of fitness workout which is excellent for a short-term fitness regime to prepare for an event, holiday, etc. The DVD claims to enable you to "trim inches and lose up to two dress sizes" by following this program for three weeks. That might be a bit tough to manage, but we figure if you eat well and work out every day it might just be doable.

The program is led by Denise Austin, who has been one of the foremost fitness instructors for years, with countless DVDs to her credit. The workouts in 3-Week Boot Camp are fairly traditional, but very effective--nothing exotic like dance or kick boxing here. Nonetheless, you will find you're sore in the butt and thighs the day after.

The product is generally very professional, as you'd expect from an experienced instructor like Denise Austin, but there are a few bits where the cueing is off--not enough to put you off the DVD, but noticeable.

Content: There are two 20-minute workouts to choose from, each of which combines cardio with strength training to boost your metabolism and accelerate fat loss. The first workout, Cardio & Strength Intervals, aims to boost your metabolism, while the second workout, Athletic Training, is inspired by kettlebell training and uses short cardio boosts to maximize calorie burning.

To each of the main workouts you should add the 6-minute Ab Fat Blaster section to tone and target your core muscles. So each workout is 26 minutes total--ideally we'd like to see them a bit longer to maximize fat burning, but you could always combine the two workouts for an intense 46-minute session.

Prices: The Denise Austin 3-Week Boot Camp retails for $15, but you can get it cheaper on Amazon for around $12.
